Medical Accountability Network publishes copyrighted Drug Information Sheets for personal use or for use in medical practice.

All materials are presented in lay language with accurate and straightforward translation of medical concepts. The format is a presentation of the minimum components of informed consent:

• What the treatment is
• What it is FDA approved for
• How the drug affects the body and mind
• What unwanted effects may occur
• What is known and not known about the safety of the drug
• What is known and not known about the effectiveness of the drug
• Alternatives, including the option of no treatment

Issues may consist of one page in the case of individual drugs, or they may be several pages in the case of a disease or in the case of a very controversial treatment.

Material is based on the most current information that is generally available to the practicing physician, however it is not  intended to represent exhaustive research.
